Nov. 6, 2023 — Two Wichita State University organizations have established a solid presence in Alabama’s largest metropolitan area.

Nov. 6, 2023 — Wichita State University is home to nearly 5,000 first-generation students, individuals whose caregivers weren't able to complete a college degree and who lack the firsthand experience to tackle college life. To help with their transition, Wichita State offers a number of resources to first-gen students to support them during their time in college, including F1RST GEN SHOCKERS.

Oct. 19, 2023 — The Association of University Research Parks (AURP) has awarded Wichita State’s Innovation Campus with the 2023 Emerging Research Park Award at its annual international conference held this week.

Sept. 28, 2023 — Kansas home values will continue to appreciate in the coming year, according to the 2024 Kansas Housing Markets Forecast series published by the Wichita State University Center for Real Estate.

Sept. 21, 2023 — The U.S. Small Business Administration awarded $150,000 to Wichita State University to assist in providing resources and support for small businesses and startups focused on STEM and research and development.

Aug. 4, 2023 — Wichita State University and WSU Tech are key drivers of economic growth, fueling job creation, fostering industry partnerships, and supporting local businesses — and the numbers prove it. According to the 2022 Economic Impact Study, WSU and WSU Tech’s total economic impact in Kansas in 2021 was $1.3 billion.

Aug. 1, 2023 — The Wichita City Council approved a plan today that will move forward a project between Wichita State University and the University of Kansas to build a 471,000-square-foot health sciences center in the heart of downtown Wichita.

May 18, 2023 — Wichita State University was awarded $50,000 in prize money to catalyze relationships and develop Growth Accelerator Partnerships.

May 11, 2023 - Lucy Schneider, a sport management major, jumped into applied learning opportunities with Wichita State’s athletic department and will use those experiences as she pursues her master’s degree.

May 9, 2023 — Shocker graduate Alissa Haddock has spent her whole life battling liver disease. Now she has a Wichita State diploma and a new liver to help her start the next phase of her life.

May 5, 2023 — The state of Kansas has allocated $4.2 million from the state’s budget (House Bill 2184) to Wichita State for need-based aid.

May 4, 2023 - Orel Ovil came to Wichita State University from Israel to play tennis and study in the W. Frank Barton School of Business in 2018. He is one of 10 students to earn Senior Honor recognition, the highest honor awarded to WSU students who demonstrate outstanding scholarship, leadership, involvement and service to WSU and the surrounding community.
